What are the deadlines for a military moving claim?

Give written notice of loss or damage within 180 days of delivery. Note what you can on the delivery paperwork that day.

File the claim within 12 months of delivery for shipments picked up on or after May 15, 2026, or 9 months for shipments picked up before that.

The mover must answer within set times. If it denies the claim or doesn't answer within 30 days, you can transfer it to the military claims office.
