How much notice do I have to give before I move out of a rental?
Your lease says, so read it first. Notice is often 30 or 60 days, and missing it can cost a full month's rent.
Count back from the day the lease ends, and give notice in writing in the way the lease names, often by mail or email. Keep a copy and proof it was sent.
On a month-to-month rental, notice usually has to cover one full rental period; your state's rules set the minimum.
The app works out the date from your lease's end date and its notice days, and reminds you 30 days before.
