How do I move an air bed or an adjustable bed?

Let the air out before the crew arrives; a full air chamber can burst under weight on the truck.

Put the pump, hoses, remote and any power cords together in one labeled bag, and carry it with you. Without them the bed can't be set up the first night.

Photograph how the hoses and cables connect before you take anything apart.

Ask each mover whether they will take down and set up this kind of bed. Some won't touch the pump or the base; if yours won't, plan who will.

An adjustable base is heavy and has a motor: lay it flat, never on its end, and keep it dry.
